Born and raised in Smith County, my family and I moved to Putnam County when I was 16 years old. I finished up my high school years and graduated from then Putnam County Senior High School. After high school, I couldn’t wait to go to work. After going to work, I went to Vocational Classes at night.
In 1976 I started working in the Business Office at Tennessee Technological University and worked there until my first son was born in 1978. After being a stay at home mom for four years I started working in the Assessor of Property’s Office at the Courthouse in 1982. This was the beginning of my love for real estate. Almost 15 years as a Deputy Assessor at the Assessor’s Office gave me the expertise you will need purchasing or selling your home or land. In this office we assessed the value of the property for Putnam County.
During my stay at the Courthouse I worked daily with the Register of Deeds where warranty deeds are registered for property. I also worked daily with the Trustee’s office where you pay property taxes.
While working with my clients I have found that with this experience if I do not know the answer I know where to find the answer.
I went back to Tennessee Technological University after losing my job at the courthouse due to politics and the election of a new Assessor of Property. After going back to TTU I spent another 20 years at Tennessee Technological University. During this time I took numerous classes at TTU.
I retired from TTU in July 2017 with intentions of focusing full time on my real estate profession.
I have helped several clients buy their first home and enjoy helping people through the process. Whether you are buying your first home, upgrading, or downsizing I want to help you. I had one client that told everyone that I held her hand through the process. I want to do this for you.
My family is very important to me. I have been married to my husband since July 25, 1975. We have two wonderful sons and daughter-in-law’s along with two wonderful grandchildren. Jason is married to the former Christie Julian and they have our two grandchildren Riley and Brayden. Tyler is married to the former Ashley Williams. They all live, work, and go to school in Putnam County.
I pledge to give you the courteous and efficient customer service you deserve. If you have the desire to sell your property or purchase additional property, would you please give me a call?
I want to be your Realtor and will work long hours. Selling real estate is a 24/7 job, so feel free to call me anytime.
